Editing Projects

In addition to providing students with training in the fields of archival management and historical editing, the Program also has ties to two editing programs based in the History Department at New York University.

The Jacob Leisler Papers Project
The Papers of Jacob Leisler, a National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) project, is collecting, transcribing, and translating the entire extant public and private correspondence of ill-fated New York merchant Jacob Leisler (1640-1691) for publication in microfilm and annotated book editions.

The Margaret Sanger Papers Project
Sponsored by NYU's Department of History, the Margaret Sanger Papers Project is designed to identify, collect, assemble, and publish the over 140,000 Sanger papers in microfilm, book, and electronic versions.
